Cathy is an award-winning Derbyshire writer, formerly Derbyshire Poet Laureate, and author of five published poetry collections. She also writes memoir and plays.

 

She works as a writing facilitator and iis currently leading three writing courses for the over 55s at Nottingham's Royal Centre and Nottingham Playhouse, as well as undertaking consultancy work for various literature and arts organisations.

 

Cathy is also an accredited Coach for Writers and an experienced mentor, providing tailored support for writers at all levels.

WRITER IN RESIDENCE

ST MARTIN'S CHURCH, BILBOROUGH

 I am delighted to have been recently working as Writer in Residence at St Martin's Church, Bilborough, where I have written a book, Hidden Treasures: A Labour of Love, about the major restoration work completed there. It includes my commissioned work and the work of a numer of writers involved in the project, as well as telling the story of the Restoration. Available from the church, or from me via this website.

55+ WRITING COURSES

Wednesday afternoons, Thursday mornings and Friday mornings.

10 week terms commencing September 2017; January 2018; April 2018.

Open to all aged 55+. Places still available for this term on Wednesday afternoons.
