Talking
- about my writing and writing life, and performing my poems.
- about my tenure as Derbyshire Poet Laureate, and performing poems written during my tenure.
- about poetry - the reading and writing of it, and sharing a range of favourite poems; talks about particular poets.
I have talked to many organisations and groups, from reading and writing groups to business lunches to day centres. Anything considered!
Writing
- for a particular occasion, organisation or place - see commissions for previous work undertaken.
Taking up ‘residence’
- in a particular place or organisation, writing relevant poems and encouraging others to write their own. The Laureateship was an example of a ‘residency’ as was my work for Viva. I am very interested in small residencies attached to particuar places or groups of people in the community.
