PDP
PDP, or Professional Development Planning, as developed by Literature Training, is about exploring where you want to get to professionally in a structured way. The process involves looking at:
a) where you are now
b) where you want to be
c) how you might move from point a) towards point b)
It’s a process that’s useful whatever stage you’re at but can be especially valuable if you are at a point of change or just starting out.
Writers are often trying to balance their writing with other areas of their working lives, as employees or freelance workers, and also trying to find work that complements their writing. I am a skilled PDP guide and can work with you to help you find a way forward.
PDP differs from mentoring in that it can be offered as a one-off guidance session with a follow-up; or can be delivered in small groups so participants can share the cost; or a mixture of both.
