I have delivered poetry courses for a range of groups and organisations, including the Growing Bolder (Arts for the over 60s) project and WEA.
My more formal academic teaching includes courses in Live Poets, Tread Softly (critiquing work), Writing Poetry, and Poems and Poets, for the University of Nottingham.
All my courses are know for their accessibility, and their ‘real’, encouraging approach.
I also lead many one-off writing workshops for a variety of organisations. These have taken place in and for schools, writing groups, MIND, day centres, arts festivals, colleges, conferences, libraries, places of special interest, Parks, etc.
Her enthusiasm, her knowledge, her sensitivity to poetry, her ability to communicate her enthusiasm to her students and to get them to participate, her friendliness, her approachibility … she challenges us, makes us think and not accept things uncritically. Everyone enjoys her classes. (Nottinghamshire writing course member).
